Primordials are agents of Chaos. When the Creationists began their work of making worlds and populating them, they created Negative Entropy. This was the opposite of the main energy coursing through Chaos, and to make it you needed to take away from Entropic Energy. The Primordials waged the Dawn War to return the work of Creation back to its source.
When Piranoth's Steps was created in the deepest reaches of Chaos, it is said that the evil emanating from this realm corrupted some of the mighty primordials. Demogorgon, Baphomet, and Orcus were some of the primordials that became infused with chaos and evil and then reshaped into the likeness of pure destructive evil. They became the demon lords, masters of entire realms of the Abyss. When we defeated the primordials, we opened the way for the demon invasion of other realms.

Some of the primordials and their minions that invaded Bal-Kriav were spared destruction. These ancient foes of the Nawirrûs Covenant are imprisoned across this world in remote areas like Thunder Halls or in the hundreds of prison vaults scattered across Denerra. This Prison Continent holds foes locked away since the Dawn Era.
The list below is some of the primordials that raged across the realms so long ago. It also lists primordials that survived the Dawn War and became gods. Primordials are extremely strong creatures. In the Dawn War, it often required teams of angels or several archangels to take one down. The only powers that could sometimes go toe-to-toe with a primordial were the gods. There were only a few of these in the Dawn War, with a good number, the Creationists, tied up with creating worlds and all that goes in them.
