Asoun is a brilliant primordial with an intellect exceeded by few. Asoun's greatest weakness was an inability to wield magic or benefit from it. He, or she, depending on her mood, overcame this weakness by inventing mechanical attachments that could. She has an inventory of sentient attachments, symbionts that meld with the host, bolstering the host's mind, giving access to the symbiont's innate powers. In the early centuries of the Dawn Era, these mechanical attachments and unheard of symbionts were far ahead of the time; making Asoun as probably something left over from the Lost Ages.

Luckily for the Nawirrûs Covenant, Asoun's great intelligence never played a part in developing strategies for the forces of chaos. He was too independent, too much ego to work with others that considered themselves mentally his equal.

Immune to magic, Asoun is a tough foe. The first Covenant soldiers to encounter him, relying on magic, were nearly wiped out. One of those to fall was the archangel Anubis.

In the Lith-Crillion Era, Asoun found a rift-making bastion called the Womb of Entropy. He used this place to re-open several rifts between Chaos and the world of Bal-Kriav. When the Lith-Crillion learned of these gateways, they mounted an attack on the Womb of Entropy. In 1271 LE, Lith-Crillion commandos and a pack of weave spiders utterly destroyed the place. Never heard from again, most thought that Asoun was lost in the blast. This thinking was dispelled in the War of the Fragments (1500 - 1512), with Asoun's agents instigating a conflict between four empires.
