In the Creation War, one of Thjorygg's commands was Poseidon's surface fleet. This Trident Fleet was second to Poseidon's undersea navy, yet growing in fame and power. Poseidon grew jealous of his junior officer. Rather than have him around to assure victory in the battles of the Salzârrâk, he reassigned him to a less active area. Poseidon tasked the well-liked commander to Straiden's northern coasts. His patrol area also included the Buccaneer Archipelago. His orders were to capture or sink any non-Trident ship he encountered. Since his orders included assaulting peaceful merchant ships, he considered it all honor-less. For whatever reason, he turned against the Primordial Lords. Some say he was convinced by Covenant agents specialized in turning primordials.

In the Abyssal Release (7777 DE - 8777 DE), he battled the demons running amok in Piranoths Steps. He and a few other primordials were of the opinion that if the demons won this war, they would not stop. They would continue to war, and more than likely attack the Mortal Systems.

In the Demon Spawn War, Thjorygg was a close ally of the Quarat'un Covenant. Like in the Creation War, his command was focused around naval matters, shipping supplies and moving troops. There were battles, but not on the scale of the Creation War when the seas were much more heavily contested. Built for giants, Thjorygg's ships were of enormous size. They moved Covenant armies across Bal-Kriav's oceans and up and down rivers.

Thjorygg is one of those gods that doesn't put much effort in spreading his faith. His religious base came about from the telling of his journeys across Bal-Kriav, legends of strength and bravery. These legends are often long, told around the campfires of Ice Cap, in the naval yards of Thor Har, and other places, to inspire listeners, stave away fear or in places of continuous toil, to pass the time. By the Horgon Era, his notoriety was widespread, but not populous. It was enough that the powers that be, decided he should ascend to godhood.
