Lone giants of their surrounding landscapes, once fiery outposts of the Creation War (1486 DE - 8777 DE), volcanoes are often said to the greatest war machines of the Dawn Era. Many were created by Surtur, others came naturally by those tampering with a system of lava flows and rivulets that on Bal-Kriav is called the Great Vein of Surtur. Most volcanoes, products of giantkind's greatest heroes, are words of the Giant language.
