Khatúlg was founded in the First Epoch by Toomrur soldiers serving under an Ogre Lord named Jidekai. Building on the ancestral lands and hunting grounds of Gorkith's hobgoblins, bringing civilization and strange laws to the natives, Khatúlg was under constant threat.
By the Second Epoch, Khatúlg was a powerful city-state of eastern Grashakh. The problems of the highlands, north of the city's living walls of gnarly wood and vines, was largely neutralized; by a forced resettlement of the hobgoblins to the Dargirth floodplains.
In 1484, having grown fat and weak from the doings of the trade-minded families, Khatúlg fell to a young warmonger named Morbakh.
In 1834, Khatúlg was captured by the Tormoran Federation. Like what had happened to the hobgoblins in the Second Epoch, now the Toomrur were forced to find new homes on the eastern banks of the Viiz Bo.
