The Third Instructor, 3-I, is a construct of the Lost Ages. Early in the Dawn Era, dormant and adrift in the Sea of Entropy for eons, 3-I detected a weakness in this entropic sea. Powering up, 3-I followed the instructions of its long-dead builders:
- seek out and exploit this weakness
- begin the renewal
Decades of search and surveillance followed, looking for those of similar purpose. By the Year 70 DE, the Third Instructor had joined up with Bruh Kreniik and other Creationists in their goal of rebuilding the universe. Working with those of similar "programming", 3-I watched and probed the minds around him, looking for the sickness of entropy, destroyer of the ages before.
On 19 Artifice 78 DE the Third Instructor, in his first act as a Sphere Creationist, built the world known today as the Gears Infinite. Three years later, he populated this strange world with its new people, the Modron and other constructs suited for a world that is often considered inconceivable for any of the current age.
In the Year 98 DE, 3-I created the world of Machinum.
