South of the obstacle-tossed Hullbreaker Bay, at the northern edge of the Sands of Hells is a Pyramid of Power. Conceived by the Lith-Crillion, built by the sand giants, it served as both a temple and research center. The Dezellâm, the sand giants of the Sands of Hell, saw it as the former. A temple home to the Lith-Crillion, a people they viewed as agents of the gods, or perhaps even gods walking among petty mortals. They looked in wonder and awe at devices and magic that could create plenty where there was nothingness, turn a desert basin into a shallow lake, or return life to those recently killed.

The Lith-Crillion used what came to be known as the Pyramid of Life as a research center, delving into ways to restore the land, turning back the Sands of Hell. When the power of a device from the Lost Ages, the Heart of Eden, was not up to task, they narrowed their study to just life energy. The found a lot of this in the region, coursing beneath the sands.

The town that grew around this structure, now a ruin, is Gallo-Bagd. The Lith-Crillion imbued this pyramid with protective and life-giving powers. The Great Oasis's of the Sands of Hell were created by the Pyramid's magic.

It is said that to keep the secrets of its construction hidden, the Lith-Crillion cursed the giants with a degenerating disease. One version of the story says that the Dezellâm wandered the deserts in despair, each day moving more slowly, until finally becoming stone.

Most of these statues are buried under tons of sand, but occasionally, one can be seen in the ever-changing dunes, half-submerged with its arms outstretched to the stars ... pleading for forgiveness.

- part of well-known bard story out of Bruh Gevul - "Abandoned Cultists"

The Lith-Crillion also used the magic of the Pyramid to shift a five square mile area of Gallo-Bagd into a subterranean vault beneath the Pyramid; an area called Bail-Foggins Deep.

In 1115 LE, eldritch giants of Gulfrek Hjard sacked the Pyramid. Most of the Lith-Crillion non-combatants made the escape to other Pyramids of Power; by way of teleportation chambers. The giants made off with Lith-Crillion technology, including daggers and swords with blades forged of a piece of Golruwyrm's tail.

In 1436, rebels fleeing the religious persecution of the Khazarkar Empire, discovered the Pyramid of Life. After wiping out the Pyramid's guardians, they mae it their headquarters. Using the powers of their pyramid, Khimilêth has resisted the advances of the Khazarkar Empire. This has often come in the form of flesh-ripping sandstorms or blistering heat waves.
