The Pyramid of Life, the first of the Pyramids of Power, was built primarily as an energy collector. Massive in size, it also served as the home of hundreds of Lith-Crillion engaged in cleaning up the mess of the Creation War (1486 DE - 8777 DE) and the Demon Spawn War (8972 GE - 9493 GE).

They did the magical engineering, we did the heavy lifting, shaping the rock, creating a structure that could very well outlive the world around it.

The Pyramid of Life was built near a smaller, yet more ancient pyramid named the Pyramid of Anubis. Housing the remains of a Covenant archangel, the Pyramid of Life was designed to collect the life energy seeping from the bones of Anubis. The goal of the Lith-Crillion stationed at the Pyramid of Life was turning back the damage done to the Sands of Hell. The device they powered up with this captured energy, the Heart of Eden, failed to live up to expectations. It turned back a slither of the desert, giving rise to the great settlement of Khimilêth with its life-giving canals and a surrounding landscape rich with greenery and game.

In 1115 LE, raiders out of Gulfrek Hjard captured the Pyramid of Life. Luckily for its occupants, most escaped by way of the Pyramid's teleportation chambers. The raiders, eldritch giants with a deep interest in all things Lith-Crillion, made off with scrolls, tomes, including one named Falling Leaves, along with weapons crafted from pieces of Golruwyrm's tail.
