The Fangs of Steirgar, named after a red dragon that had once been a battle steed of Surtur, are soot stained peaks stretching from the edge of the Core Sea to the glacial streams of Aettein.
In the midst of the Demon Spawn War (89 GE - 269 GE), when the legendary Steirgar peacefully passed on, a vacuum of power was created. Fire giants took up position in the Fangs of Steirgar, watching as the demons of Baphomet suffered the Borngring Wastes. After the demons were driven out, and through the Lith-Crillion Era, the Fangs of Steirgar became the home of rival fire giant clans, and growing conflict with the frost giants of Ice Cap.
During the Horgon Era and into the early part of the First Epoch, the Fangs of Steirgar was ruled by the Titan monarchy of Hofthorm (145 HE - 101).
