Steirgar spent the first seven centuries of his life as a soldier of the Primordials. Stolen while just an egg, he was raised by fire giants, becoming one of Surtur's most battle-hardened steeds. Surtur's ideas of equality, as if a fire giant could be on the same level as a dragon, drove the pair apart. After the Creation War (1486 DE - 8777 DE), with Surtur going into hiding, Steirgar retired to the northern peaks of Brucrumus, to a place then only known on Covenant maps as a grid coordinate.
Awaken in the Demon Spawn War (89 GE - 269 GE), Steirgar went on to kill thousands of demons and Covenant soldiers. Not interested in the affairs of either side, even refusing to meet his old master Surtur, now a pawn of a new Covenant.
Steirgar died of old age in peaks that would be named after him, the Fangs of Steirgar.
