On 5 Hollow 8991 GE, the dragons Bahamut and Bruh Kreniik created the Kriistvrii (Standing Scale). They were needed in great numbers, and fast for the Demon Spawn War (8972 GE - 9493 GE). The Kriistvrii were organized into three armies, the Sed Uth. After the First Dragon Wake (9251 GE - 9269 GE), with Bahamut departure for a higher calling, the Sed Uth continued the fight under other Covenant leaders.
Kriistvrii civilization took hold in sector Hiznaar Goz of the Aerie of Dragons. The Covenant fortresses and supply depots of the Hoof Front became the heart of Kriistvrii civilization.
On Bal-Kriav, Kriistvrii civilization peaked in the latter half of the Horgon Era. The two Kriistvrii empires of that period were the Zeymah'kein Empire and the Theocracy of Galirkrad. These two nations worshiped opposing dragon gods, one under Bahamut and the latter following the dictum of Tiamat.
