In the Year 1454, the heroes of Black Banner raided the Spore Labyrinth deep under Alluvium Deep. In a cell, destined to be spore fodder, they found Garn.
In the Black Tide War (1465 - 1504), Garn commanded the Black Tide army of Kambar-Ghul. Battling the Farinteen Alliance, Garn flew into battle on a red dracolich named Flameghulead. He was added to the First Dead Council as a potential ally of the Black Tide's multiple factions.
In 1480, Marshall General Garn was destroyed in a bold raid on Ebonstar. He was dispatched by Sanguine commandos of the Squad X7E unit. One of the items that was taken from his body as evidence of his death was one of his eyes. This was taken back to Outpost Prime and turned over to the Evidence Department of the Sanguine Whispers. This eye would later be found in the ruins of Outpost Prime and then magicked by a githyanki necromancer. The eye was inset in a piece of hand jewelry becoming the Eye of Garn.
