Icyke

Icyke initially started out as a group of whaling families of Blackjammer, collectively called the Whaling Union. The wealth collected from trading whale oil, furs, and iron to foreign nations made these merchant families very wealthy. Later, vast deposits of rich black oil were found by a Dromite merchant named Icyke. He used the wealth plundered from the Ukgam oil to buy-out other companies and assassinate the leaders of the others. In 1814, after a five year civil war, the Whaling Union and other powerful merchant clans became the Icyke Syndicate.

Some of Icyke's merchant houses have their own private armies. The soldiers of these armies are represented by the guilds that make-up the Mercantile Enforcers; which collectively fight for the empire when needed.

Icyke's largest trading partners are Tamlêrran, the Orchish Empire, and the Khazarkar Empire.

In the Year 1828, the Icyke allied with the Neeth-Theen in the Cinazan Front.
