Lúthil was built in the Lith-Crillion Era by Kriavfahliil colonists. Citizens of the Marchenir Republic, they were sent to establish a presence on the world of Bal-Kriav; countering similar moves made by Marchenir's arch-enemy, the Gwildath Monarchy. The settlers, to Marchenir's disgust, established a government more like Gwildath, but with a twist. After a monarchy was established, came a matriarchy with a very long line of very charismatic queens.
An unbroken line of Thrandorian Queens, five ages, perhaps the work of Arcana, or old magic, or their blood runs true to the goddess that conceived them ?
- anonymous, from the Lambaril Monthly newspaper - "Daughters of Arcana"
In 14 Bloom 2465 LE, the Orphan Queen, the first Thrandorian Queen was seated on the Waterfall Throne of Lúthil.
Lúthil's settlers founded Lagaer, Herfarel, Lambaril, and dozens of smaller holds. The larger holds functioned like independent city-states, each governed by one of the reigning Queen's daughters. They were sister holds, a bond by blood that led to a stable reign lasting to this day with the current Queen of Lambaril; nine-hundred miles south in the city-state of Lambaril.
In the Year 98 HE, the Eylami War began with Lúthil battling the giants of Saer Erkjorg. The war led to dozens of battles and in the Vale of Eylami, and spurred the advancement of druidic magic focusing on turning woodlands into natural fortresses. It also led to the advancement of arcane lore focused on the building of things like walls of stone and iron.
In 132 HE, Lúthil fell to the Saer Erkjorg.
A stunning beautiful city at its peak, Lúthil is sited where three small rivers meet and cascade over a 700' high cliff. At the base of the waterfall, a river port sat at the head of the great river Dargirth.
