Altocumuli

Altocumuli came about from great raids by the floating bastion Avalkhirân. The threat of this Dawn Era relic descending from the clouds and wiping out frontier villages and towns was often enough for them to submit to vassalage or outright join the superior forces of General Yrsuthroa. In 1321, the territories and peoples captured or convinced to fall under his command were united under the Altocumuli empire.

Altocumuli claims all of Bullvar Ika to Syrmal as their territory.

This autocratic nation is ruled by cloud giants. The cities and towns of this evil empire are headed by despotic governors which answer to Empress Yrsuthroa. The people of the Altocumuli are a motley group of races - cloud giants, stone giants, ble-aarakocra, orcs, gnolls, ogres, and others. The most dangerous military force of this nation is the Ghambar Brigade. The cloud giants of this unit are mounted on dire rhinoceros and wield wicked weapons like saw-tooth spears and serrated lances.

The Altocumuli are bitter enemies of the "lowlanders"; people of Cúthalion, Ancalimë, Nechi . The elves are the most hated enemy, followed by the halflings. The Altocumuli have waged many wars trying to annex the territory south of Bullvar Ika. The most notable conflict between the two was the War of the Fragments.
