Uromon

Uromon was founded in 364 HE by settlers out of Isan-Kun. Roughly 1400 miles from the empire, they were soon given a charter of independence. At the time, the journey between this far-flung outpost and their homeland was quite difficult, no roads, through a lawless subterranean realm, and beyond a sea that was most of time frozen.

The city's Turkûn are descendants of those that once lived in Khalas under the Brisingr. Most of them came here in the Second Epoch as part of employees and family members of the Ilad clan. This Ilad's had mining operations in the Nalbirag mountains. In the Nalbirag Gold War, Ilad's operations were forced from Nalbirag's upper mines. In 1322 they got the backing of Uromon's armies. They utilized their mines and countless shafts to great effect against forces back by their second most hated enemies, the Neeth-Theen. In this war, Uromon erected the Iligunbirag. This defensive network consists of redoubts and bastions and miles of tunnels, pit traps and dead-falls. It starts from Uromon, going upwards, angling in the direction of Haag-Bre.

In addition to a large standing army, Uromon is backed by hammer golems and other golem types. They also breed purple worms for combat and employ siege ammunition containing oozes, slimes, and jellies. One of their strongest units is a Gurë legion, the 3-1633. If not out on contract, this legion of constructs is stationed in Iligunbirag. There they train, battling Gamakkhazar raiders, wandering monsters, and other threats to Uromon commerce.
