The Storsald mountain range is north of Galathien. It is an east to west mountain range with ridges and long slopes that rise gently up for miles from the lowlands. At the heart of these mountains is the legendary Outpost Prime. This place is sited in a dead volcano and once served as the headquarters for the Sanguine Whispers.
Storsald is the northern border of the Lands of Purity. Passing over them from the south, one enters the Northern Hordelands. Filling the valleys, ridges, and lower altitudes of the Storsalds are the evergreens of Kuli-Cir. Along with bands of hill and stone giants, many goliath tribes inhabit this area. The other more unpredictable threats of Storsald are cannibalistic Malmor goblins, griffons, several dragons, and quite a few undead. Most of these undead are the un-intelligent remnants of the Black Tide War (1465 - 1504). This war was over three centuries ago, yet thousands of these unholy creatures still wander the highlands.
