The Storsald mountains are north of the Galathien Sea. A natural border between the laws of the Lands of Purity and the wilds of the Northern Hordelands, these cloud capped peaks are named for a band of stone giants that once policed the entire range. The Storsald Snaen, skilled rangers, patrolled the mountains in the name of the Covenant, battling the evils of the Demon Spawn War (89 GE - 269 GE).
Filling the valleys, ridges, and lower altitudes of the Storsalds are the evergreens of Kuli-Cir, long a training ground for hunters. Along with bands of hill and stone giants, many goliath tribes are home to these mountains. The more unpredictable threats of the area are the cannibalistic Malmor, griffons, blue dragons, and undead left over from the Black Tide War (1465 - 1486).
Storsald holds a number of great bastions and ruins. Three of the more storied are Ebonstar in the southeast, in the bowels of a dead volcano is Outpost Prime and in the west is a Hall of War named Hunters Kit.
