Map | Ithen River |
The Ithen river gets its name from the Ithendelt nation that dwelled on the southern shores of the Baying Lake. Ithen is a long, wide and fast-moving river. Starting at the southern shores of the Baying Lake, the flow quickens as it descends through the Maegorion Forest, then slows as it passes along the eastern edge of the Jadvild lava fields. Down the Jadvild vale the river's course has been slowly pushed east by the periodic eruptions of Mount Traeulf.
The Ithen picks up speed again as it cuts through the Storsald Mountains. After passing through these peaks, it cross the Marrow Fields, then ends where it empties into the Galathien Sea.
