Lumnaar Hok is an ancient ruin of central Hiznaar Goz. It was built in the Horgon Era by Kriistvrii crusaders pledged to Bahamut. It remained a city-state for close to three hundred years.
In 899 HE, it fell to an army led by the Dragon Lord Balfroglemis; top general of the Dominion of Resalth (887 HE - 946 HE). After the sack of the city, most of the city's Kriistvrii population were enslaved. When the Zeymah'kein Empire crushed the Dominion of Resalth, Lumnaar Hok became one of its holdings.
In the reign of the Zeymah'kein, Lumnaar Hok was the heart of cultural and intellectual enlightenment. It became a thorn in Zeymah'kein politics on many occasions. These periods of unrest were more often than a not a result of liberal thinkers, agitators, and activists.
In the Third Dragon Wake (1575 HE - 1576 HE), Zeymah'kein's decline was well advanced. In the ensuing Dragon Wake, Lumnaar Hok was reduced to ruin. This happened when an apocalypse dragon named Nidhogg was awoken from its five thousand year slumber. Robbed of a blissful dream, for him a dream of mass destruction with him doing the destroying, Nidhogg took out his rage on Lumnaar Hok. This frenzied dragon was solely responsible for destroying the city and killing nearly all of its population. Most were not killed by the dragon, but when he died from innumerable hits, arrows, bolts from dragon ballista, magical attacks and a few blows from hand-held weapons. When Nidhogg fell, his blood spewed out of him like liquid fire, raining down and burning everything it touched. The ground this blood touched became like the burning blood gushing out of Nidhogg's corpse. It spread all through the shattered city and over a large part of what was soon to be known as the Burning Divide.
Even today, some areas of the valley (Ag Krenok) and the ruins of Lumnaar Hok burn as bright and hot as the day they were started.
