Zandûl-Khâl was established by the Mîmêk refugees from the city-state Sigatharkin. In the Onyx Enmity War (915 - 920), Sigatharkin was flooded and washed away with the draining of the Nermanis Sea. The Mîmêk in the upper areas of the city, and the fast, escaped the city and fled through the passages north and east. The people that went north formed colonies which became the kingdom of Zandûl-Khâl.
Those that went east are to said to have run into the still flowing waters of Nermanis, the debris of Sigatharkin and countless others areas - and this was three years later and one hundred miles away. If you hear rumbling in the distance, don't assume it to be the Snores of Geb, for it may be the Torrent of Nermanis.

In the Second Epoch, priests of the Khazarkar Empire began spreading the word of Set in the kingdom. Over the next twenty years, the Church of Set became one of the four powerful churches of the kingdom.
