When the Durkoth of Abâthigûr went beneath the waves in the Durkoth Descent (995 HE - 1355 HE), the aquatic peoples of Tregmauroth were the first to fall to the Durkoth influence. In the deeps southeast of the Lands of Purity and in the northern region of the Buccaneer Archipelago, the newcomers subjugated the Ixitxachitl, then the Scrag, and others. They built the great undersea city Ogharkú for their new masters.
When the Durkoth mysteriously disappeared into their timeless vaults, the people took charge of their own affairs. In the Year 72, following a prolonged civil war, Queen Ranturâpha established an empire in her name. The dynastic Ranturâpha bloodline has survived to this day.
Ranturâpha preys upon other aquatic races and land lubbers that enter their sea domain. They have long been allies of the Black Tide of Thasmudyan.
Ranturâpha are composed of many rival groups which are organized under one tyrannical leader during "The Deep Hunts". This is a time when hordes of these creatures make forays from Orat-Khagor into the domains of the Tuc'hoom and other rivals.
