When the Durkoth of Abâthigûr went beneath the waves in the Durkoth Descent (995 HE - 1355 HE), the Ixitxachitl of Tregmauroth were one of the peoples that fell under their influence. In the deeps southeast of the Lands of Purity and in the northern region of the Buccaneer Archipelago, the Durkoth defeated the ixitxachitl and subjugated them. The ixitxachitl built the great undersea city Ogharkú for their new masters.
When the Durkoth mysteriously disappeared, the ixitxachitl took charge of their own affairs. In the Year 72, following a prolonged civil war, Queen Ranturâpha established an empire in her name. The dynastic Ranturâpha bloodline has survived to this day.
The ixitxachitl of Ranturâpha prey upon other aquatic races and land lubbers who sail through their territory. They are allies of the Black Tide of Thasmudyan.
Ranturâpha are composed of many rival groups which are organized under one tyrannical leader during "The Deep Hunts". This is a time when hordes of these creatures make forays from Orat-Khagor and into the domains of the Tuc'hoom and other nearby organizations.
In the territories of Ranturâpha are several Durkoth ruins. The ixitxachitl have plundered some of these sites and studied the relics and learned much in the way of necromancy. As a result, there are many necromancers in the Ranturâpha empire.
