Sodlund

In the Horgon Era, the settlement of Sodlund was founded by the Glangveif (314 HE - 31). It was a secretive base for warlocks studying an artifact named Onaidreds Quill.

In 1648 HE, facing certain doom by a hobgoblin army and their devilish war maiden, they put Onaidreds Quill to use. The attacking army and everything beyond the city's walls for many miles are consumed by an unnatural glacier known thereafter as Nym-Zoedine. The strange glacier was a boon for the city, with ice homes cut-out for the empire's cold-loving peoples, and a place of rich resources, and those looking for the treasures of Zoedine's frozen army.

In the 1885 HE, seeing the crown in decline, Sodlund ceded from the Glangveif Monarchy, becoming an independent city-state.

In 1206, surrounded by the threat of growing states like the Orchish Empire, Sodlund joined the Umahanbad Oligarchy.
