In the Incarsabec Rebellion (1531 HE - 1544 HE), the slaves of the Suellk Empire escaped to the Astral Sea. B'lailleth was the first Githyanki empire founded in a period of history they call the Age of Gith.
At its peak, this githyanki empire had a population of nearly twenty million subjects scattered across many systems. The hub of the empire was and is the Astral Sea, its connections were remote outposts on distant worlds, vassal states, and permanent holdings for those involved in farming or things better done in the Core Dimension; alchemy for one.
In the reign of Vla'akith CXV, one better known today as Lady Hunger, things got bad for the empire's subjects. Attended by a court of vampires, and armies that were becoming less living, and more undead, she reduced the empire to a shell of its former greatness. Fear of being pruned by Lady Hunger's many vampires, or suffering from trumped up charges, many githyanki went on the run. This splintering led to the rise of several githyanki empires. The Har'kish Empire is one of these.
