The ancient fortress of Vorthad was built by the fire giants of Elkroz Vah. They ruled the area for hundreds of years. With the rise of Lahvirn Piiv, Vorthad was forced to join them as a vassal state.
Vorthad is strategically important, serving as a southern trade outlet for the Lahvirn Piiv. It also serves to protect the rich mines of Elkroz Vah.
In the War of Kesk Lein, Vorthad was captured by the Goth-Dyvermoir Empire. The fire giants of this ancient stronghold, in the thick of battle, turned on their Kriistvrii captains and any allied with them.
