Rudkreg was a legendary hydra of the Creation War (1486 DE - 8777 DE). Slain by pegasai riding rangers, Rudkreg's enormous body, the stuff of Chaos, decomposed very slowly. Feared for its entropic spittle, stuff that returns complex things to base elements, it now went to work on the land around. The land sunk as Rudkreg's body rotted, leaving a four mile deep crack that came to be known as Rudkregs Cleave. At its deepest, where none have said to returned, is said to be the still beating heart of Rudkreg.
On the northern rim of Rudkregs Cleave is the ancient city of Suf Sungaar. As trade between Suf Sungaar and the fiery holds of Yol Skerah expanded, so did the number of stairs, pulleys, cranes, elevators, and paths dotting the descent into Rudkregs Cleave. Along the way, passages break off to subterranean roads in the direction of Jothvauk, and smaller settlements around Agiid Hil and Sken Drog.
