The River of Summoning, or Ragil after a demon assassin of the Demon Spawn War (89 GE - 269 GE), has its headwaters in the unnatural ice of Nym-Zoedine. Draining south, streams merge into a river cutting in and around the mires of Roralarg then southwards through a rugged evergreen valley, home to hill giants to the west, and warmongering bands of hobgoblin to the east. Near the end of the valley, the river is slowed and diverted at the Bloodbath Dam, becoming waterfalls and passing into hundreds of channels. After passing through the city of Naram-Gunal, the river passes the oaks of Nárfaltuin to the north and the steely pines to the south. The river ends with its joining the Foronir River.
In the upper parts of the Ragil, before the swamp, the water sparkles from ancient magic. In the Titan Era, hobgoblin shamans learned that conjuration magic was easier done near the river. Since that discovery, hundreds of ruins, built as summoning circles, dot the river's banks.
