Galir-Khizad was founded by those that escaped the failed Andigimok coup of 946 LE. Hunted, they retreated into Baruk-Gind, following the Earth Seam for several months before exiting at Baruk-Khâl. Now a continent and ocean away from Andigimok bounty hunters, they went southwest founding several failed settlements along the way before founding a permanent home in the Maleddanar Region.
In 2501 LE, Galir-Khizad was captured by the rival city-state of Garâl-Thûru; with the conclusion of hostilities, these two city-states become holdings of the Vîlnên Monarchy.
Liberated in the Galir-Khizad Uprising (461 HE - 464 HE), in 488 HE, Galir-Khizad became the capital of the Taklumlode Theocracy.
