In the First Epoch, a victim of the Gulimbor Cataclysm (996 - 1203), the Burterinii resettled along the coasts east of this volcanic-rich plain. Over the centuries that followed, Zaura's farms and pastures made Burterinii the breadbasket for the entire region, with foodstuffs flowing north to Brucrumus and into the Buccaneer Archipelago.
