Athenas Lanterns was a lawful good order that served as the defenders of Holy Sanctum.
In 1329, this holy order of knights and priests invaded the witch's sanctum Ara'rya. In the assault, the witches released Dvr'jiss thinking that he would help them defeat holy inquisitors giving no quarter to those that consorted with demons. Dvr'jiss did not stick around and risk his own head for creatures that would be dead in decades even if they survived the wrath of Athenas Lanterns. Dvr'jiss flew east under cover of silence and invisibility magic.
In 1487, the order was wiped out in the Black Tide War (1465 - 1504) at the Siege of Holy Sanctum.
