Athenas Lanterns is an order of good that came to renown as defenders of Holy Sanctum and protecting pilgrims and travelers crossing the southern tracts of the Buruthran Plain and south into the Vale of Hûma-Nar.
In 1329, Athenas Lanterns invaded the witch sanctum of Ara'rya. Hearing the enemy's battle priests chanting and the thunder of knights, the witches of Ara'rya released a powerful demon named Dvr'jiss. Wrongly, they thought he would help them defeat holy inquisitors giving no quarter to those that consorted with demons, instead he escaped under silence and invisibility magic.
Nearly half of the order was lost in the Luran Campaign (1481 - 1483). After the fall of Holy Sanctum, the order regrouped at Iglutt.
After the Athenian Crusade (1539 - 1551), the order moved its headquarters to Helmstar.
