Merioss is one of the binary stars that are part of Asteraoth and Quara'tun. Merioss is blue-white in color. It is viewed as a symbol of light and goodness. Historians often use it in writing when referring to deeds of good or times of hope. The worshipers of Phalgas often refer to it as the "Shield of Phalgas". Merioss is half the size of Khâls Forge.
In 1534, the Golden Elite destroyed the Elder Orb of Embers by firing it into Merioss.
