Mertion is a Focus for three energy types. In a system of Law, where Negative Entropy is heavily concentrated, Mertion is a bit of an oddity, with equal amounts of Entropy and Negative Energy. Some say this was done as a snub to the Quara'tun Covenant who Bahamut considered as overly high-minded for bipeds, and producing litters that would eventually lead to dragon extinction. Those in Bahamut's camp say it was his way of opening the door to those of good no matter their ethos.
