In the Creation War (1486 DE - 8777 DE), the wastes of Regadnîn was the site of many battles. In one of these battles, entropic worms got past the Covenant cordon, going south of Taphezel into a jungle then only known as a grid coordinate. Primordial minions used to soften up a world, the work of these worms went unnoticed for almost a decade. Their burrowing left a trail of entropic slime that made rock and earth float upwards, becoming floating isles either buoyed aloft by or entirely an earth mote and a thick jungle canopy. At the ground level, the jungle above the worm's tunnels underwent a great change with vegetation growing colossal in size. Fast growing, trunks reached skyward unbound by gravity, and vines attached to floating isles making a web of vegetation thousands of feet above the jungle floor.
With many lofty areas, Skyhook is home to many avian types. After the Creation War, nearly four thousand Aarakocra declared Skyhook the homeland of the continent's Aarakocra.
