Vith'kirr, loosely translates to Children of the Serpent. It is the name of those who carry the Curse of Ausul'nah in them. In the First Dragon Wake (9251 GE - 9269 GE), Ausul'nah, daughter general of Tiamat, was put through a ritual that made her venomous bite even more dangerous. Female humanoids bitten, mortals or celestials, became infected with a magical curse, themselves passing it along to others by bite. Few got away from Ausul'nah, as a result the Vith'kirr race didn't become noticeable until the Horgon Era.
Like a werewolf's ability to change between humanoid and humanoid-beast, Vith'kirr are able shape change between their normal humanoid form and a lesser version of a true dragon.
One of the most well-known Vith'kirr families is the Dras'ee. This matriarchal family is also a MinĂ¢th one, where the ladies of the house, proud of their dragon heritage, spread it to their daughters in a ceremony befitting a king.
