In the Second Epoch, the Orchish Empire built this road in the direction of Matak. At the time Matak was a independent hobgoblin city-state. Named Matak March, it was to be a military road for bringing Matak into the empire.
Matak March begins at a fork in the Sarmarg Road. It then goes east across the plains of Knur Slagming into the Torengrarg mountains. Past these, it continues across the Tarthar Wastes to the gates of Matak.
