Kautha is a salt water marsh south of Ugidreth. The marsh is home to nothing but wretched creatures - undead lake monsters, crimson deaths, will-o-wisps, and a large number of undead. Many of these undead are remnants of when the Black Tide had their capital at Ugidreth.
Near the heart of the area is a partially submerged pyramid. This massive structure is the Pyramid of Merioss, an ancient Lith-Crillion research center. When it was built, the edge of the marsh was many miles away. In the Horgon Era, the water table shifted, putting two levels of this pyramid underwater.
