Said to contain the sand of a thousand beaches, this timepiece can be turned over, setting back a recent event so that it must be replayed for a potentially different outcome. Forged in Chronos's workshops, they were made in the thousands. Most were used up in the Creation War (1486 DE - 8777 DE). Costly and timely to make, their crafters eventually found themselves sent off to fight instead of making labor intensive wonders. In the Demon Spawn War (8972 GE - 9493 GE), thousands of these were used in the defense of Enmort. Today, less than a dozen of these devices remain. The years of workmanship required to makes these devices, along with rare ingredients found only in some systems, is why there are not more.
With 10 to 20 charges, Hourglasses of Fate cannot be recharged.
