Ligath's parents served in the armies of the Torgilm Confederacy (1475 - 1719). With both dying in the Brother’s Enmity War, she doesn’t fault Ba'lith emperor Raxcvillibus, knowing that is the honorable end of any good soldier. Not wanting to suffer an early death like her parents, she took the civil path. The exhilaration of service aboard the Pillar of Horns changed her thinking, re-awakened the "blood of war" that seems to run in some families. Becoming an engineer of war, she left the safety of the engine compartments, joining the ship's cannon crews.
