Irastânâz is a bone and tusk strewn plain within the greater grasslands of Shathirmun. Since the Horgon Era, Irastânâz has served as an elephant graveyard. It is where elephants and even some elderaunts go when they are old and weak, nearing death. Elephants that die elsewhere, often have their bones and ivory taken to this area.
A sacred area for many in the Ivory Asylum, Irastânâz is a sacred area, guarded by rangers and druids.
The Ivory Santity law prohibits the poaching of tusks, theft from sacred areas and the use of ivory in non-military applications.
