In the Creation War (1486 DE - 8777 DE), forces under the primordial lord Hettar dug deep into the hills of Radveig. Following rich gold veins, they dug mining pits following ore veins mostly going straight down for thousands of feet. The hills around these mines then held villages and homes for the thousands of miners, workers and all those that supplied them. Today, these mining pits have filled in with water, becoming ponds and small lakes collectively called Hettars Spittoons.
