The city of Mîmig-Khâla is spread across a high mountain plateau bounded by four spires. Each spire, laced with iron and gold veins, are the Arcanas Stakes.
On 19 Temporal 921 HE, thousands of feet below the sewers of Mîmig-Khâla, the Stone Wardens linked four iron mines in a magical ward. This ended a plan to create a new Temple to Surtur, a volcano directly under the city of Mîmig-Khâla. Around the start of the First Epoch, the magical ward began to deteriorate, bleeding arcane energy into the nearby iron deposits, transforming the iron into the metal Searamount.
