Built by Time's Stolen Legions, these keeps were part of a ring of defenses protecting Enmort, a land then claimed by a renegade titan named Chronos. In the Demon Spawn War (8972 GE - 9493 GE) Chronos's claim meant nothing to the numerous legions of the demon lord Graz'zt whose goal was to conquer Chronos's tiny parcel along with the entire continent.
Chronos's wonders of engineering, tapping into the threads of time, proved deadly. With time distortion effects, they helped destroy sixty-six demon legions before falling to ruin. Though not as nearly as powerful as they once were, the ruins of these keeps are still very dangerous. Their time effects can go either way, great to very bad.
