Chen'ryon is a unusual desert of the northeastern reaches of Zythess. It came about in the Creation War, when a primordial purple worm burrowed through the Web of Magic and entered into the world Bal-Kriav. It was of the underground type, and actually suffered from the rays of Merioss so it set to burrowing. The worm Krephus was colossal in size, far bigger than anything of this world. When it burrowed, it left a gaping cavity that came to be known as Krephus Sink. The debris field left behind by this worm is the desert Chen'ryon. The mixed colors of Chen'ryon's fine sand comes from the many layers she went through while digging into Goulnacus.
