The Cerulean Road begins at a subterranean lake polluted by otherworldly energies. From Maitimírë, the road rises up the Cairn Ascent past the sealed holy fortresses of Phollûmâ then into the underside of Athenas Daggers. Inside this cluster of spires, it splinters into a number of tunnels, some small, some big enough to allow a team of giants to move comfortably through.
The Cerulean Road is named for the blue fungi that grows along its route. The juices of these subterranean plants bleed onto the road, giving it a cerulean color.
