Covenant Crèches were created as places to school and train mortals for war. In the Dawn Era, graduates were sent off to battle the primordials in the Creation War. In next age, they battled the demons in the Demon Spawn War.
In the God Era, some Covenant Crèches became breeding grounds for radical ideas and special interests. These were stirred up those serving the higher ups, the Higher Powers which the God Era would get its name for. Deeming the war effort more important than a god's desire to build a mortal following, the Covenant did their best to stop or at least curb such activities.
