In 702, Akthol-Tharag colonists went far east looking into a claim of a mysterious substance said to be useful for making alchemical explosions. A year later, at the head of a moraine valley they named Turkosh, they built Chunswornkrak.
Chunswornkrak clan leaders began looking into self-government (thereby becoming an independent city-state) a couple decades after the settlement's founding. This came about from infrequent contact and communication between the mother kingdom Akthol-Tharag and this far flung outpost. In 723, their request for independence was granted ushering in the beginning of the kingdom Nathargundu.
