Araneus is a region of Oralûth. The place gets its name from its vast forests and the creatures that dwell there, namely huge silkworms and near endless number of spiders. Many swamps, lakes and rivers are within these forests. These water bodies form a maze of channels through-out the region. The civilized creatures of the land harvest the silk and other resources of the forest and transport them to their cities for export to distant lands.
