This vast fungal surrounds the Ink Sphere. Named simply the Sphere Fungal, it is a dense and vibrant jungle of mushrooms and plants that thrive in the vicinity of this alien object. The great cavern housing the Sphere Fungal is twenty miles long and half as wide.
The Sphere Fungal can be reached from the surface by a massive hole in the cavern roof, a hole matching the diameter of the Ink Sphere. There are many deformed and unusual monsters in this undeground forest, each a product of exposure to the Sphere's alien emanations.
