Early in the God Era, during the building of Jothvauk, fire giants battled a red dragon that claimed this lava lake as its lair. This owner was a young dragon named Onairion. Still young as far as dragons, cunning and resourceful, Onairion was forced to move elsewhere. Appreciating the skill of their adversary, the giants of Jothvauk honored their foe, naming the fiery lake Onairions Pool.
