The Dream Howling is a wind found in the Tyermur. It is said to have been created by the deaths of thousands of elves fleeing the fall of the empire Lorthrindal. Many of the elves, fleeing their conquered empire, perished in the bogs and wetlands of Tyermur. Some were killed by orc pursuers, but most died at the foul claws of the numerous undead dwelling in the marshes. The numerous deaths resulted in a powerful curse on the land. Animals refuse to enter Tyermur and the tainted lands radiate strong evil, are unhallow, and most creatures are deformed. The most dastardly result of the numerous deaths was a dreadful sounding wind that occasionally blows in the marsh. The wind has caused many to enter blood frenzies, murderous rages, or be driven insane.
