Mithril is a silvery gray metal lighter and stronger than steel. All of the mithril found today had its beginnings in a dead star named Mithrallum.
Mithril has variable properties, unique to from where it was mined. There is a type, like that used in the harbor walls of Baruzundam, that is impervious to the corrosive effects of the sea, and the destructive nature of black puddings and even the strongest of acids. That which comes from the mines of Bileddanul is the best for making mithril shields and doors.
