The Yanizabârs are a proud family, once quite influential in the First, and for a time, the Second Khazarkar Empire, then suffering ignominy for the failures of one.
The family was admitted to the noble elites, the Minâth-Nôrî, in 1020. This happened during the Eldritch Civil War when the ranks of the Minâth-Nôrî needed replenishing.
In its early days back in Gulimbor, the family worshiped to Kebechet. When the Second Khazarkar Empire came into being in 1027, a theocracy was born, a monotheism to Set. They had the choice of staying and converting, or leaving the empire. Rather than suffer the misery of the wilds, and leave the Khazarkar's Cinazan homeland, they converted.
In 1301, the Akumîlû, Khazarkar secret police, learned that Râlê Yanizabâr was a member of the Eldritch Conclave. Warned that they were to be "liquidated" for conspiring with the enemy, a few dozen family members made it out of the empire. The rosters of Minâth-Nôrî list them as liquidated, yet many Yanizabâr are still out there, beyond the reach of the Khazarkar Empire. Several dozen, descendants of Râlê, live in the Conclave bastion Malardân and others in far away places.
